Paul Rag
Paul Rag writes alternative songs that borrow a bit of Jon Martyn’s honesty, a touch of early Elvis Costello’s crooked pop, and some of The Cocteau Twins’ moodiness. The result is a mix of acoustic and subtle electric sounds that feels warm, lived‑in, and quietly cinematic.
Songs
Paul lives out in one of the quieter parts of East Anglia, where he writes songs built on honesty and simple storytelling — a mix of vulnerability and grit. His music comes the little emotional details that tend to linger.
What’s been happening
Taking a break from working on a new song last night, I decided to start this website - this meant taking a ‘proper’ photo, which takes hours when you’re doing it all yourself.
